Tiny Teeth: Tips For Teething | Wellbeing

Tiny Teeth: Tips For Teething | Wellbeing - Nature Baby

tiny teeth

Teething usually begins when your little one is around 6 months old (though may start earlier or later than this). The discomfort your baby will experience when those tiny teeth start coming through may make them restless and irritable, which means this can be a difficult stage for mum and dad too! We have put together a few helpful tips for this tricky time:

Give them plenty of water to replace fluids lost though dribble.

Having plenty of dribble bibs on standby that protect baby' clothing and chest are a life saver! No more outfit changes.

Teething foods such as frozen bananas, watermelon, and peeled apple wrapped in muslin gauze (so little bits don't fall off and cause choking) are soothing on baby's gums.

Give them a teething toy to chew like Sophie the Giraffe, Frank Fox, a natural rubber Panda teething ring or a rimu peg.

Beautiful handmade teething necklaces are made from amber. For centuries amber has been used for teething and is renowned for its healing and inflammatory properties, which is how it can be helpful for soothing red or inflamed cheeks and gums.

And distract them with hugs and play.

We hope this helps with the teething stage, good luck! NB x
